We have the "International Student Symposium (ISS)" every year as part of the development of the next generation of scientists. This symposium consists of oral presentations and poster presentations for high school and university students. It covers a wide range of fields, not only material technology, but also natural science in general, and any genre is acceptable as long as the presentation is in fields related to natural science and science and technology. Please use it as a place to improve your skills for your own future. Continuing from last year, this year's event will be held online from the perspective of preventing the spread of the COVID-19 infection.

How to submit?


1. Requirements for presenters

Students in high schools, universities and colleges
Graduate students

*All presenters must take a course "
Research in the Secondary Education: RSE" of the Association for the Promotion of Research Integrity (APRIN) and then receive a confirmation report. The confirmation reports need to submit with your abstract.

2. Research Field

Broad Field of Science and Technology
*We cannot accept the presentation in the fields of social sciences.

3. Presentation styles

Oral presentation … 15 minutes (including 3-minutes discussions)
Poster Presentation … A0 size document

*Please prepare and practice well under enough guidance of teachers.

4. Language

Japanese or English

5. Awards

Gold, Silver and Bronze Prizes will be awarded for excellent presentations.

6. Registration Fee

500JPY for 1 person
*Only card payment (square) will be accepted for attendees from overseas.


7. How to write the abstract of the presentation

A PDF abstract will be distributed on the Web to all participants. All presenters are required to prepare a abstract manuscript. Please refer to "ISS Abstract Guide" before creating. Please convert the manuscript to PDF and attach it to the submission form.
